Active Threat Training
Saturday, June 9, 2018
8:00am-12:00pm (Q&A to follow)
In the past two decades, horrific mass shootings have been thrust into the public consciousness. No public meeting place is immune to such attacks, especially churches. Church security teams need an effective and swift response to these threats and the sequence of events that follow them.
Research has shown that many active events are over before law enforcement responders arrive on the scene. Church officials and security team members must be prepared to take immediate action to save lives before law enforcement arrives. The average response time for police to respond to an active threat is three minutes; yet, without pre-planned response options, many churchgoers at the scene of attack will be killed or injured during those three minutes.
This training teaches church teams the proper response options to allow church congregations to survive an active threat event. It is a combination of lecture, video presentations, and hands-on learning.
The presenter is Greg Perry, an attorney, peace officer, college professor, and OPOTA-certified firearms instructor. You can visit his website at www.gaperrytraining.com or contact him via email at email@example.com.
Please register for this event by June 1st.
